The 28th Annual Swing into Spring Concert sponsored by First Volunteer Bank will be Saturday, May 6, 2017, at the Old Crockett Theatre starting at 7:00 pm. This concert will feature the bands and choirs of the three high schools in Lawrence County and the grand finale is the mass band performance of all three high school bands performing with guest conductor Mr. Mark Garey.
Mr. Garey is in his 33rd year of teaching and is currently at Freedom Middle School in the Franklin Special School District in Franklin, Tennessee. While under his direction the Freedom Bands are an 11-time recipient of the Tennessee Bandmasters Association Sweepstakes award.
Mr. Garey attended Middle Tennessee State University earning his Bachelor’s degree in Music Education and also holds his Master’s and Education Specialist’s degrees from MTSU.
